What was the highlight of Hotel Metropolitan Sendai
Great location, friendly staff but room was outdated and smelled like an ashtray.
It was essentially attached to the train station which was a great location and the room had most of what you would need but what really bothered us was that it smelled like an ashtray. Shower had great pressure, staff was friendly.
The smell in the room was really unpleasant, we tried to air it out but over the course of 3 nights it didn’t go anywhere. It was supposed to be a non-smoking room. Also the furniture and amenities were outdated.

Room, as is typical in the Metropolitan chain of hotels, was small but perfectly adequate for a one night stay, and the location, next to both train and bus stations, is great. English-speaking staff were pleasant and efficient.

Pleasant 3 night stay in the heart of Sendai
Good location, right next to Sendai train and bus station. Can walk through the mall to reach trains without going outside.
The decor feels outdated and the lighting in the bathroom was a bit too dark. Not enough power points to charges devices. But it’s not a big issue.
